Abstract

Situational Teaching Method is a teaching method in which teachers actively create a good learning environment and atmosphere, stimulate students ‘interest, help students build cognition, and promote students’ all around development. This paper uses the literature research method and the case analysis method to discuss the application of the situational teaching method in the classroom. The research shows that following the principles of scientificity, pertinence and subjectivity can improve the efficiency of the classroom. Using vivid language, life examples, asking questions and creating basic historical materials are important strategies to ensure the effectiveness of the classroom. Therefore, following the basic principles of situational teaching method is the key to improving classroom teaching.
